Lumia 800 can I sync calender with

Time to get myself new phone and I was thinking about the nokia Lumia 800. The only thing that puts me off is, I want to be able to sync my calender on my ipad with it and I don't know if I can?

I use my ipad for everything and I don't want to have to duplicate my diary/calender entries on both devices. So then I think get an iPhone 5 but the price hike from £115 for the lumia to the iphone price is ridiculous.

Any help appreciated

What product are you using for the calender? GMail, Outlook, iCloud etc... ??

Just the inbuilt one on ios 6 on my iPad which backs up to iCloud

Outlook as Google is closing activesync, which isn't useful for calender on WP soon.

So I should use outlook as my calendar on my iPad and the Lumia 800 and not use the calendar in iOS 6 on my iPad and this is web based ?

God I'm must be getting old

I have it sorted now I have set up an outlook/hotmail account and added that account to my iPad . Just checked and calendars and email are synced. So if I make an entry on outlook calender it appears on my iPad calendar

Now...can I make it work the other way round so if I make an entry on my iPad it will go to my outlook calendar??

If I get the Lumia does it use my account settings for my outlook...so if I make an entry on the lumia a calendar will it show on my ipad calendar ? Hope,that make sense

I guess what I am saying is can I make the Lumia calendar use my outlook ??

The Lumia will sync with to the cloud.

Essentially all you've done is set up a cloud to store. When you enter form your iPad, it sends to cloud. From cloud your phone will sync it. The other way works too, as long as both signs into the same cloud for info, i.e. You use that same outlook account

At the moment if I make an entry on my iPad calendar it doesn't appear on my outlook calendar...so is this because they are not signing into the same cloud ?

How do I get it to do this?

On your iPad instead of using hotmail under accounts use exchange and then input your hotmail details,sync calender it should work.

Just had a go at that and still doesn't work works fine from outlook calendar to iPad but not the other way round

Just to check on the iPad when you make a new entry have you selected the outlook calender? As by default it enters new entries to the local calender

Going to go and get the Lumia now from the supermarket as I can get it for £115 with some food shopping.

Just to double check as I am in thick mode today all of this will work on the Lumia calendar ?
