lumix g prime lens melted

was out today taking pictures with my Panasonic lumic g 20mm lens when I got an error saying lens not fitted, when I looked closer I noticed the above, how the hell has the iris melted and fused ?

Looks like it was magnified from the sunlight and managed to melt the shutter or something? God knows, that is mental.

Woah, that's scary. Yup looks like it was left in strong sunlight with no lens cap.

I sent it off to Panasonic wonder, I might get lucky as its only 1 month old, if not anyone have a clue how much it would cost to repair ?
