Has anyone got a lupo TDi Sport (The 1.4)....if so what do you think of it, how well does it go, handle, whats thre build like and do you really get anything like the quoted 64mpg combined?

It would be as a first/second car along side my impeding 4x4 purchase....i just canna resist and must have a landrover again! :p But need somthing practical to use around town and for trips here and there where economy is needed.

Not sure they make an equivelent model, but have a look at the Seat Arosa. It's the same car and you might find it more affordable.

NOOOOOOOOOOO...

when i owned a TDi Leon i had an Arosa for a morning as a courtesy car (haha) - it was horrible, badly built, tinny and the engine was dire (the 1.0 petrol) - at least the lupo is solidly built with a good VW interior and a decent Diesel engine for the one i'm considering :)

The problem with Lupo's is that the exceptional fuel economy is made largely irrelevent by the fact they are, compared to other cars, so expensive to buy.

I do not, will not and have not ever desired to have a mondeo - itll never happen! I have no objections to payig for the "right" car - afterall Landrovers are stupidly overpriced to begin with and hold their value really well....

Steady on, never even mentioned the Mondeo

Even something like a Polo would offer better value but tbh, as a VAG fan, you'd be better off with a Bora or a Toledo.

As i already have a Passat it would be pointless getting a Bora or anything else Golf sized. :)
