Unlike the MK4 and MK5, the LX15 on release is in about the same price bracket as my RX100 (on release).

I understand that the LX15 has significant feature upgrades over my original RX100 such as a 180° touchscreen, wifi enabled, 4K video etc.

The question I have though is will the LX15's day to day photos be noticeably improved over the RX100 MK1? E.g better low light etc?

Thanks!

:)

Yes I could definitely live without the viewfinder as I've had my RX100 4 years and it's never been an issue.

For the price bracket the LX15 is in (£540 as a new Very customer 10% discount) I'd only be looking at a RX100MK3 for that money.

Tbh even though I'll use it for snapping away on any trips, it's mainly going to be used for photos of our son and selfie style group photos haha (180 touchscreen).

Just had a look at the focus stacking and that looks pretty cool. Never edited a photo on the PC in my life but can defo imagine quickly messing with the focus when bored going through the photos (on the camera) on the bus, plane, train etc.

Yeah I'm sold loads of tech feature upgrades over my RX100 M1 and better pictures :)

I'll take what gunrunner has said about QC and maybe just get a 4 year warranty as it'll still come in cheaper than the RX100M4 and miles cheaper than the M5.
