Lycosa Touch Panel Not Working

Competitor forum so can only cut and paste responses, same prob. as yours:

Did you install the drivers?

i've installed only what came on the CD, which drivers should I install ?

I don't have this keyboard, but if you've installed the drivers you should be fine. However, maybe there's an option where you can enable to touchpad.

Wait, this has a touchpad? Do you mean the media keys in the top right? If so, what media player are you trying to use? chances are you haven't set up the hotkeys correctly, both Winamp and Foobar I had to set the hotkeys to the buttons.

HAHA when i first saw this I had the same question as you. But the second last picture is the touchpad aka media hotkeys

If your referring to the media keys and they "are not working" with winamp you have to enable global hotkeys for any media keyboard to do anything. its in:
Right click > Options > preferences > Under General Preferences > Global Hot-Keys > Enable the check box near top left.

Not sure if you have resolved this, but I recently posted a similar question. In my experience with the Lycosa, every time the computer is booted the keyboard touchpad loses functionality. But as soon as I unplug and replug the USB connector for the keyboard, everything works fine. I am trying to sort out if it means the keyboard is faulty or just has a software flaw.

How did you set your Lycosa up with Foobar? I can't seem to get it to work.

my touchpad is totally unresponsive too. however if I unplug it the plug it back in touch panel works.

I unplugged and plugged it back in and now it works. I reboot, and need to plug and unplug - did you send yours back, get a replacement, or fix it?

It's now a common known defect with early gens of Razer Lycosa, go to support for Lycosa on the Razer site, and you will find a page to get a replacement.

It can't be a "...common known defect with early gens of Razer Lycosa" xxxx didn't know and shipped it - at least, I doubt they knew. Not that common anyway. It's not common - if it's kept swept under a carpet.

No I didnt send it in, however I did install 32bit XP MCE and it works fine now. Must be another one of many vista x64 bugs
