Some of you may remember I posted last year (July I think, and this isn't the smash I had in the 19 it was my lovely new clio :( ) that someone went into me on a roundabout, then denied all responsibility saying it was my fault.

They then changed their offer to 50/50, but still didn't give a credible account of what happened, and failed to answer any of the letters my solicitor sent challenging their story.

Finally my guys wrote to his insurer saying that we were taking him to small claims court.

Well today I got this:

"We have received a cheque from the other party which includes the sum of £947.83 due to you. A cheque for this amount, payable to you, will follow shortly".

Nice result :)

Car needs a new front wing and as I was being picky at the time a new wheel as the old one has a chunk taken out of it. Tyre was also damaged but that's already been done.

No that's to pay for it based on the estimate my mechanic gave them.

Honestly don't know if he bumped it up as it was an insurance job so will see lol.

That took a year?

Ouch. I feel for you. :(

I'm still waiting for a cheque from the third parties insurance company 3 months later...can't imagine what a whole year feels like.

Happened in July so quite a while, cheque should be here next week :)

He just gave a very vague account of the whole thing, none of what he said actually related to the accident just his "thoughts" on what I must have been doing.

Weight off my shoulders now though.

Take him to the small claims court when you receive your cheque :p

Try and claim for being stressed or something, I dunno, im sure you and your solicitor could come up with something :D
