Lylat wars on VC!!!!!!

It's strange how much your memories distort things. I remember it being very clear and fluid, but it's a blurry N64 mess lol. More like what I remember the SNES version to be like.

Still plays like a dream and it was enjoyable (and cinematic) to play those first few missions again. :D

Was this the first game to use force feedback/rumble on a home console? It was definitely my first experience of it.

While I haven't tried the wii version personally, I've got an N64 & Lylat Wars as well as plenty of other stuff in front of me :D
A lot of what you remeber is actually going to be an artifact of the TV you were playing it on; My N64 actually runs & looks far better on the 14" portable, as opposed to my main 2407wfp :p

Rumble, as far as I'm aware the N64 was the first UK console with rumble (No idea about Japanese oddities though), and pretty much even the earliest games had it to some extent.
What I actually remeber is a WWF rumble pak that actually gave you a small electric shock! Not got one of those now unfortunately.

Yeah, it was the very first game to use it, and came buncled with it (for only 70 quid!). Crashing the big train on Macbeth was ace, the explosion went on for ages. Practically made my hands numb.

Also, got a medal on the meteor belt already. Get in. Expert mode here I come.

Nah, it's only on a regular 28" widescreen CRT, probably not much more advanced than the 28" CRT I used to play it on at home as a nipper. It's the rose-tinted shades on of it I have lol.

You all suck! I bought some more wii points now.

For some reason my games look a lot better on my 37" TV than they ever did on my 24" crt. Mind you I'm using component now rather than RGB scart (large difference) and the XD3 engine on my TV is supurb for low res interlaced images :D
