Lynksys WRT54GL cable, loading pages sometimes too slow

Hi there,

I have the cable router modem WRT54GL and sometimes webpages are loading very slow. I wonder if this is a problem with virgin internet or maybe the router configuration. I using the original firmware v4.30.7 so shall I flash it for another one? My os is windows XP and I use firefox and sometimes play games online like BF2.

Flash to Tomato.

Download the... Tomato_1_23.7z (3MB) file.

Open it with 7zip or Winrar, to extract the WRT54GL bin file, use the router login screen to upgrade to this, point it at the bin file.

Then login, (username root, password admin) and do this (it's important)
Administration->Configuration->Restore Default Configuration->Erase all data in NVRAM memory(thorough)
