Lyson Continuous Inks system - anyone used them?

I will consider what you have said and also look at the other options listed for 3rd party inks. I had a concern they may be prone to blocking and the Canon has a built in print head.
It's not just the cost of OEM ink, as pointed out they are small and it only takes a few full size A3 to empty a couple of colours!
Epson 3880 though is a bit of my price range though
and the size.....
