Hi all
I’m looking to setup my ITX build as a NAS with a proper HBA card in the pci-e 16x slot but would still like to make use of GPU acceleration with a dedicated GPU.
My current CPU has no integrated graphics so if I want to make use of hardware acceleration for Jellyfin and Immich, I’ll need a GPU (I have an old RX 580 8gig which I will swap out for an Intel GPU with AV1 encode/decode).
Has anyone tried using an M.2 A+E to PCIe 16X Extension Adapter to take the M.2 WiFi slot on the motherboard and make it actually useful?
I don’t think using the M.2 A+E slot for the HBA card, even if it’s fast enough for my use case but hey, I might be wrong and I can always give it a go.
TIA
