M.2 Instal

Have just put together a rig for a relative. Using a Rampage 5 Edition 10. have put in the os on a samsung ssd, he now wants an M.2. just received from OC a samsung 500gb NVMe SSD 960 Evo. first will it run ok on motherboard and how do i transfer the os from the ssd to this if it does. first time having to use an M.2 device, thanks in advance

It looks like the M.2 drive will work with that motherboard, but looking at the layout you may need to remove the graphics card to get to the slot. Transferring the OS can be done in a few ways, but the guide here gives you a pretty good explanation of how to do it.

Thanks for your reply, in my stupid way thought i might use the samsung migration utility, have not tried yet but thank you again, was hoping someone here had already done such a thing regards
