Hi guys,

Anyone know a bit of software that will report the link speed of the m.2 connection?

I got a shiny new 950 pro 512gb for Christmas and after running atto it maxed out at 1.6GB/s rather than 2.5GB/s which indicated it was running at a lower link speed than pci-e 3.0 x4. I've given it a good wiggle in the slot and its now sorted but does anyone know some software that will report the speed of this port like gpu-z etc does for pci-e ports?

Cheers.

What does Samsung (Samsung Magician i think) software report your SSD running at out of interest?

Im in the same boat. Having trouble booting too but that is a seperate issue. My 256gb 950 is being reported at running 10Gbps rather than 32Gbps. I am using the asus adapter but it states that the speeds are supported and my PCIe slot runs at PCIe 3.0 x4 even when all slots are used (they are not)

I'm running on an asus x99 deluxe. I've heard that the magician software has bugs where it often reports 10Gbps when its not.

I'll have a look at crystal and see if it reports the link speed

Crystal doesnt seem to have this feature, how it confirms I'm now getting 2.5GB/s on read so that wiggle seems to have fixed it. I'd recommend anyone with issues to try reseating the drive before spending ages looking for a software fix!
