So I currently have my PC setup in a full tower case but as I usually move my computer a fair bit from house to house it would be significantly easier to have a smaller case and as I already have a M-ATX mobo this makes things even easier. The case would need to accommodate 2 HDD's and an SSD and an optical drive, currently using the stock cooler on my i7 so thats not an issue and space for an r9 280x or bigger cards (may upgrade in the future to something such as an r9 290x or 2 r9 280x.

Currently looking at the bitfenix colossus M case, really like the changeable lighting.

I just downgraded from ATX to MATX using a Grandia GD05b case. It's pretty sweet under my TV now however it was a bit of a dog fitting 2 HDD and a SSD in it as well as an optical drive. At least it works though. Needs some new silent fans though as it's not exactly quiet.

I like the layout on the inside, however one things puts me of... The usb ports on the side. I have my case up against the leg of my desk and this might become a pain in the arse with me plugging and unplugging usb stick/hard drives a lot. Apart from taht I like the inside layout, nice amount of cooling.

Sounds like the Aerocool would be ideal then. The colossus also has the USBs on the side (a different one though admittedly)

If you want something a bit more tower-like I have a Fractal Design Define Mini, so I can recommend that also.
