Soldato
yeah, I got suspened and rightly so, but I'm going to be on my best behavior from now on, this place actually means a lot to me
well, I mainly exist on black garlic Nissin noodles(bulk buy at amazon,) and tins of beans & sausages on toast,(lidil's Newgate and morrisons own are the best, heinz beans and sausages are terrible nowadays, (pea protein sausages, eww,) as this is all that I can generally afford, however I've built up a small surplus of these noodles, and tins, so, I don't have to spend my usual money on them this month, plus, i'm going to go without any fish and chips this month too, one of my carers works a second job in the local chip shop so I get a discount, which makes affording them a bit better, thanks to this I normally have fish at chips once a week but sod it this month, I want some real food,so I've spent a lot of my universal credit (~ £347per per week) on wagyu steak, x2 wagyu fillet steak ( £113, )for me and the boy, and £45 for a wagyu ribeye for mum, and and some cartons of dauphinoise ("£3 each, tesco finest) that I've frozen while I wait for the steak to arrive, ooo, I'm going to have some nice organic broccoli with it too, my son can cook steak really well, he is obsessed with cooking a steak just right, which he reckons is medium rare.
I've managed to do this once before, and he is correct, medium rare is the way to go! especially with something as delicate as wagyu, total melt in the mouth goodness! Mum preferes a medium ribeye, but there is no accounting for taste
I've also managed to save £50 this month too, and pay my half of the water bill( mum pays for the water, I pay for the sewage, so this is great, no more big chunks to pay out, just normal gas , and leccy PAYG as long as my van does well at the MOT tomorrow that is.
Luckily, I'll get my PIP soon,(£ 737.26, every 4 weeks) so I won't be too hard off, and I'll be able to pay for the 2011 ford connect campervan, if anything needs done, I think that one of the sills might need doing, but we'll see, it might just go through, fingers crossed, it didn't need anything except for tyres last year, and the new ones are still good, so maybe a brake disc, idk, If it does pass then I'll put most of the PIP into my mobility vehicle slush fund, 'slush fund' is an interesting term, it's a nautical term that comes from the fat (skimmed, and scraped from cooking pots on naval ships, and the slush of salt and fat that was left in the barrels that held salted meat ),this was all then saved up and sold by the sailors to tallow makers on shore, this money was kept aside from the ship's accounts, and used to make extra luxury purchases for the crew, waste not, want not , I guess.
If the van doesn't go through, my trusty mechanic is good to me, he is an efficient worker, who I've used for years, and he takes pity on me a little, so even if the sill needs doing, then it won't be the end of the world money wise, just might get a little less change to still add to the slush fund, but not gonna count my chickens, it will be whatever it will be, as long as I've spent what I need to spend, and saved what I can save then everything is good.
Soon, I'll have 1000s of £ to spend on a holiday, and we'll have a brand new car, all while eating wagyu, dunno how I sleep at night!
