I'm looking to move from a full size case. Li lian 2000 to a much smaller build.

Really want to give m-itx a go but don't want to loose my 4770k as its a good clock and would need to spend a lot to get any noticeable improvement.

I've been looking but doesn't seem to be many availabl these days. I know it's technically the old socket now but surely you'd expect some stores to stock them still.

Anyone got any suggestions? Or am I stuck going for micro atx instead?

They're quite rare/expensive due to it being a dated socket.

I got really lucky and managed to recently pick up an MSI Z97i for £48, so deals can be found if you look in the right places. OcUK don't seem to have a big selection, but a quick Google search shows plenty of other places that do.

Sourcing older motherboards can be a pain. Have had to do this myself a couple of times in the past, and once had to wait a considerable amount of time for a suitable motherboard to become available on the 2nd hand market. Socket 1150 is still relatively recent though, so it should be comparitively easy to locate a motherboard as AiiR has suggested.

So found a few but seem expensive and sadly not from OCUK.

Looks like i'll end up with gigabyte gaming 5 m-itx board.
