I thought my MOT ran out on 28th of Jan so I had planned to get it sorted next week. On closer inspection of the necessary documents it has come to my attention that it runs out on Mon (Oops). Due to work commitments and the fact that the garage of choice may now be fully booked (unconfirmed) If say I don't get it done till next Wednesday am I going to get fined? Assuming I don't get pulled over in the meantime by John Q Law

i cant beleive you havent all been flamed to death by the the rest of them on here yet, they must just skip this thread lol.

dan - sorry i am bored and posting some really random crap

If you get stopped then afaik they will let you go as long as you can confirm you've got an MOT booked. This might only be for when you are taking the car to the actual MOT. Not sure about usage of the car in the meantime.

You're only allowed to drive it to and from a prebooked MOT test. As long as you're not involved in an accident you're probably OK - I guess by summer when all cars will have passed through the computerised MOT system they will be able to check the status of your MOT as you pass the little white vans currently used to check tax and insurance validity.
