ok here is my problem.
i have an alienware m17x r3, it has been formatted however all the drivers i put on it were from the dell site apart from the graphic card one,s i got the latest direct fron ati.
now i play eve and to communicate i use ts3 and my tritton ax pro's. i am suffering from intermitent sound issues, at times i cannot hear anyone, and at other times they cannot hear me. i think the problem is one of 2 things:-
a. drivers (i did not need to install any for the headset)
b. maybe the soundcard drivers are not upto date
the headset connects to the laptop via a multi plug adaptor, this consists of a usb plug then a pink/green/black/orange 3.5mm set of plugs. everything has to go in the left side of the laptop as you look at it. i insert the usb plug then the pink and green plugs into their holes.
so does anyone know where i could get some newer drivers for the soundcard of an alienware m17x r3?
also i feel i may be better off investing in a dedicated pc headset and quite like logitech products, so which logitech gives best overall value for pc gaming?
the h530 or g330 or other? i am on a budget and want to try and stay below £40/£50
thanks
