M17X R4 Upgrades

So, time has come to throw some new upgrades at my M17X R4, its current spec:

i7 3610QM, 8gb 1600 (Micron according to CPU-Z), 7970M 2GB, 1080P Panel, 2 HDD's, 240W AC

I wanted to know if I could just drop in a 3920XM (its 55w vs the 45w of the 3610qm). Would I be able to overclock this (wouldn't mind getting the CPU to 4ghz or over).

Second question, if I got the Corsair Vengeance 1866mhz memory, would I be able to run this above 1866mhz? My BIOS has an option for 2000 or 2133 (I forget which).

Perhaps somebody has already tried this already. I have AC5'ed my CPU and GPU and I get around 67 and 68 degrees on the CPU and GPU respectively. That's with auto fan profile. If I use HWInfo to put my fans at 7000rpm constant its more like 58/63. My GPU is also overclocked to 925/1300.

for such specific info you'd be best looking/asking on an alienware m17x r4 forum. There are several out there, I've got one bookmarked on my laptop, i'll post the link when i get home.

Yes you can drop a 3920xm and you can overclock it. Heat will be your major problem though.
