Hi,

Can someone tell me which is better to have an SSD with high read/write or high IOPs?

I ask because I am going to go for an M2 drive and I want windows to be as fast as possible because this Plextor 128Gb that I bought to install windows is just no good. My old setup with the 3570k actually responded better in windows with the SSD it was running then my new 1950x feels with this drive :/

Some of the M2 drives seem to be more expensive and have lower read speeds in mb/s, but have blazing fast IOPS rate so I'm guessing this is going to make the difference?

Thanks

The plextor is probably sata3? no faster than a regular SSD really, you want to make sure you have an NVME drive.

TBH go for any of the Samsung 970 range, cant go wrong there, I have a 512gb evo as my OS/app drive, and a 1tb 960 evo for games and things load up instantly as smooth as pie :)
Yeah it's just a regular SSD. I figured because my old system ran flawlessly on one that this new one would be no different but not the case. Looks good though. Might even get 2 of the 256gb ones rather than a single 512 for even more speed.
