To replace a 11 inch 2018 Ipad Pro.
Mainly used for Browsing the Web
Media consumption when tv is off limits
Basic Photo Editing
Watching films on the plane.
 
I am going to say Ipad 2024 11 inch. My reasons are as follows. You are already using an Ipad Pro so a more up to date one should nicely fill the slot.

The type of activities you listed sound better to the Ipad pro than M2 mac 13.
 
iPad 100% based on criteria above. It’s a much easier device to live with, shortly after I bought my iPad Pro I ditched my Macbook Pro entirely and I produce a lot of content (photography) not just consume it.

Yeah I think your right. The ipad kinda replaced my need for a laptop. Does everything I need it to. Did think about an Air but can live without pro motion now.
 
I’d say iPad. I have a windows laptop. Seems like every other time I pick it up it wants to update so always pick the iPad as you’re straight into business unless you booted it down. Only other thing I’d suggest is go for the bigger iPad would be my personal preference though my previous iPad was 11”. It was easier to handle though still prefer the bigger display.
 
Yeah the 120hz. Can't live without that. My 2018 pro has it. So can't downgrade to a Air.
Might try and get another 12 months out of it yet.
