I want to install windows on my nvme drive in my M2 slot but the gigabyte bios does not recognize it as a bootable device, but it still does recognize the drive so it knows i have one in there....HELP
I did say gigabyte, and it’s 12 gen.More information required. We're not psychic so can't tell what motherboard you've plugged it into...
"does not recognise it as a bootable device, but it still does recognise the drive so it knows i have one in there"
Can you elaborate? It sounds like you're saying that you can't change boot priority, but that the drive is present in the bios?
If so, I would suggest just remove all other drives and boot the PC, it should just install Windows on the nvme without needing to change boot priority.
" We're not sure what happened, but we're unable to run this tool on your PC. If you continue experiencing problems, reference the error code when contacting customer support"Install windows from a usb stick onto the drive, an empty drive will never be bootable
I'll try this tomorrow thanks but I don't like the idea of having to rely on 3rd party software to do what microsoft should be doingDownload the iso instead
Then use rufus,yumi multiboot,balena etcher
or any one of those similar softwares to make
your bootable usb instead
