M2 Socket Anyone?

Any news on when this is due for launch. I was looking for info on the AMD website but couldn't find any mention of it.

I'm coming into a bit of cash shortly and was maybe gonna take the opportunity to get a new rig but I seem to remember something about the M2's being launched in the first quarter of 2006.

I am thinking of buying the one with both PCI Express and AGP. Is it that one you are talking about? It will probably expensive.

I thought so... Does the Asrock duel sata support DDR2 ram? If it doesn't then that board is a bit useless for socket M2.

I am fairly sdure the asrock daughter board will incorporate DDR2 slots also.

Is this going to be the new standard for at least a year and a half or is it going to another socket 754?

i would have thought it'd be the standard for a while, i think both 754 and 939 have been steping stones to M2, at least untull they bring out DDR3 because 754 was single channel, 939 was using the same processors but dual channel memory and now M2 is dual channel DDR2, just got to sit back and wait for quad channel DDR3 now
