Wasn't sure what section to put this in so feel free to get this moved if appropriate.

Have few questions which I’ve been wondering for a while and finally want an answer as it’s confusing me.

1. Have computer as in sig. (AM2 4200, 1gb (2*512mb) OCZ Plat PC 6400 ram, M2N32 SLi) which as been running at 270*10 on 800 or 667 divider can’t remember which now. Tried to upgrade to 2gb ram, 1 stick was dead so back to 1gb.
Ever since building this whenever I select a 11* multi (or any odd no.) the ram apparently runs at 368.4mhz @ DDR800 in cpu-z, whereas in nvidia ntune reports it running at 800mhz. Even multi’s are fine.
For example below is computer running at 2.75GHz with 250mhz HTT yet ram is at DDR916 (CPU-Z).

But at DDR1000 in ntune.

So which do I believe?

2. Do I need to worry about 1 core of cpu failing prime far earlier than other. Core 0 runs prime till I stop it whereas Core 1 fails within various times from 1-20 at most overclocked speeds.

Also can someone tell me what the NB > SB Frequency actually does? Currently set to 270 but doesn’t seem to make any conceivable difference to any speed. So can I leave this set to Auto? Have options from Auto, 200-400.

Sorry for the essay lol, thanks very much for any help.
Cheers.

All odd cpus multipliers will give a ram speed of less than 400mhz when using the ddr800 setting, it's simple maths. With the on chip memory controller mem at 376mhz will give a higher throughput than most DDR 1066 on an intel platform (8-9k score in Everest).

Unless you are moving lots of data the NB to SB speed has little impact on overall speed.
