I have just tried one of these mobos out of the case with an AMD6000, and 1gb Crucial memory and it just starts up then shuts down in 1 second, using the stock heatsink that came with the processor.
I have tried it on a 400w and a 600w psu and same result on both.
Any ideas?.

May be the bios is too old for the 6000 CPU, some have had issues on mobos due to that and had to use older cpu to get up and running then flash bios, or could be your sefault ram volts is too low at auto, it may be 1.95v instead the DDR2 efault of 2.1v, try 1 stick to get into bios and double checks settings, also get bios build and compare with newest and see if CPU is currently supported by that bios.

The board is a DOA so I have requested a RMA, and hopefully the replacement will be OK. I had it tested at a local shop.
The irony is I have built 5 computers for other people over the last month and no problems (they have all had XP on them not Vista.), but this one was for me.
