Just wondering, after reading some reports that the striker II extreme might have SATA corruption issues (none here yet), and I got to wondering......does anyone know if the M2N32-ws-pro suffers the same problem on any particular BIOS?
It's just, shortly before my M2n was retired into Linux service, I had Tremendous amounts of data corruption on my RAID0 array. I put it down to my not cancelling chckdsk, which apparently isn't 100% RAID aware, and it "fixing" most files by mangling them.
I converted the drives back to single drive use (RAID0 is too scary), and still there was corruption.
I put it down to the partition table being in a mess as it had originally been set up under RAID. Wiped all of that and started over, and the drives seemed to be playing nice.
BUT, today I got a CRC error in a rar file stored in Linux, that I do not remember being there before. And since EXT3 is usually bullet proof, I am now officially worried.
Any thoughts?
