Afternoon guys,

I'll be changing out of my 325i Convertible, and I'm starting to think about it's replacement.

Ideally I think I'd like an M3 maybe a convertible, I fancy one with an SMG box and all the bells and whistles.

But are there any good alternatives I should be thinking off?

You know I was going to answer this with a list, but then I changed my mind I thought why should I do all your work for you :p ;)

Have you looked and decided on a short list? Because otherwise this post could just end in a hundred totally different cars

Well I'll be changing cars pretty regularly so I don't really put too much thought into it.

Just wanting to know really what cars other manufacturers have to offer which rivals the M3.

Hi there

Does it really have to be a convertible?

Also which year of M3 you thinking? The first SMG or the second one. I like both but many people do not.

Are rear seats important?

What is the budget?

To me Honda S2000 springs to mind, Corvette, Audi S4 or maybe one of the new 130i's.

Prepared to spend upto about £20k - £25k ish.

Thinking of E46 M3, Car must be at least a 4 seater.

Does not have to be a convertible.

Hi there

I think getting an M3 would be a bad choice mainly due to the fact a new model is about to come out soon and as such depreciation will no doubt maybe really kick in and come into effect. So if its an M3 you want might want to wait a little longer to see how the release of the new M3 effects prices.

Plus M3 convertibles are lame.

M is a sporty car not some car thats had the roof chopped off and 110kgs added.
