M3 test drive

Tomorrow I will be test driving one of these

Looking forward to it, but a bit worried about it being left hand drive and on the Nurburgring...

PS I did write a nice big post about how awesome it is here, the atmosphere, the cars etc. But I lost the post and CBA to do it again tonight

is it going to be a DCT or a manual? If DCT it being LHD makes absolutely no difference

Would love to have a crack in an m3 around the ring though, especially with tuition

Ill rip the door handle off or something! Think it will be a DCT but still road placement might be a bit tricky.

Just don't go trying any Alonso / Hamilton moves and you'll be fine. I'm due to take out a 6 series next week. Kinda can't wait!

You will be fine tbh, Driven a couple left hand drive cars on track (paddle like this should be) and you really don't notice after a few corners.

You remind me of that Chopper dude from the Dilbert cartoons, he could have posted he was off on the Virgin Galactic test flight and you'd have told us all you were moon walking next week

This time round though I'm afraid test driving a car at your local dealer isnt even on the same page as what appears to be an absolutely amazing experience for Simon.

Another forum member and I went down for a brief visit and I totally agree, the atmosphere was great on the whole. Helped by the various goings on in and around the GP circuit (Porsche / Lotus track day and Classic rally)

Just been out with Andy priaulx in the M3 GT4 around the GP circuit. Awesome.

Had a nice drive out in a F10 535i, very nice. Will update later but off to pistonklause now !

Oh and tommorrow is the big one. The full nurburgring tomorrow morning with no one else on the track other than our 10 cars! Choice of a M3 or a X5M aswell as many others.

Best bit is it's with work and I'm getting paid for this !

Btw it's a Castrol Edge event with BMW motorsport.

You'll have great fun and if it's run by the people who run the BMW event you'll get pushed hard. I suspect a lap and you'll be OK with left hand drive bit too, enjoy.
