M32Q - HDR not supported? It was before and the monitor has it

I recently noticed that the HDR functionality has disappeared from my monitor as windows 11 says it's unsupported.

Latest Windows 11 Pro, 22h2, os build 22621.2134.

Using the same cables it came with and a newer DP cable for 4k 120.

what gives and how do I get it back - no HDR switch seen in Windows.

Sounds odd...

Have you tried a hard reboot of both PC and monitor? it's not uncommon for windows to get its knickers in a twist when it comes to display settings, esspecially with multi display, swappin cables and resolutions etc.

maybe a faulty monitor? are you able to plug the monitor into a friends PC or something to rule that out?

I originally did a DDU previously but it didn't change a thing, this time it worked.
Only difference was that I used the previous driver or the one before that, and not the new 8.1 version that has now enabled it.

Anecdotally, I've never used DDU, even when switching between Nvidia and AMD GPU's.. maybe that was part of the problem.

Install new card, instal new driver, bada-bish, bada-bosh, fixed.
