M3a79-t ram spec

Can anyone tell me what would be the best ram to pair up with my m3a79-t deluxe.

Right now i have 8 gig of mismatched stuff and its only running at 334 mhz

Are you looking for 8GB or 4GB in your new kit?

well 8 if possible, but would it be faster ram using the 4?

Right now, the only feasible way to get 8GB is by using 4 modules. 4 modules typically will force AMD users to run at less than 1066 on the memory. So, on your setup, 4GB aka 2 modules will be faster but 8GB is the better choice "IF" you are going have intensive memory usage or if you go over approximately 3.5GB of memory usage.

The newer C3 stepping Phenom II processors can run 4 sticks of DDR3 at 1333MHZ unlike the older C2 stepping.

The 125W Phenom II X4 965BE is a C3 stepping whereas the 140W version is a C2 stepping.
