I confess; I did not have the nerve to even search for it or if in fact it was a sequel to something legitimate! I thought it might of been another one of the OPs mobile recommendations.
 
M3gan reminded me of A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) Spielberg film from the early 2000s, where a human-like robot becomes overly attached to its owner. The plot is totally different but it reminded me of that. M3gan also came out in 2023 when AI itself (ChatGPT, Stable Diffusion etc) was probably the top news story of that year. There are horror elements but thankfully nowhere near as gory as Nightmare on Elm Street. I quite enjoyed it and I'm looking forwards to M3gan 2.0.
 
I thought the first one was enjoyable, I'm sure I'll get around to checking this one out as well.

That said, the plot summary on IMDB makes it sound like a very different film
"Two years after M3GAN's rampage, her creator Gemma resorts to resurrecting her infamous creation in order to take down Amelia, the military-grade weapon who was built by a defense contractor who stole M3GAN's underlying tech."
 
Will be giving it a watch as enjoyed the first one, wonder what scene they'll put in this one to try getting it viral again like the dance from the first one.
