M4 Pro DFU issues

Has anyone been able to successfully DFU restore an M4 MacBook Pro?

I goofed by zeroising the drive and losing the recovery, but every time I try to do a DFU restore from my M2 Mac mini I get an “error 21”.

Tried a ton of different cables and don’t seem to be able to get anything working.

I personally only had good results with a M1 Mac mini DFU from an M3 Pro MBP by using an Apple Thunderbolt cable.

They’re picky about which port you connect the cables to as well: Apple support article
