On the road....
I had the misfortune to witness the aftermath of a double fatality on the M40 last night, about 2 miles from the M42 southbound.

The motorway was closed for a few hours, so, I was stuck along with a few other motorists whilst the air ambulance, Police Fire etc did their stuff.

What sickened me more than anything else (as an HGV driver,I'm well used to seeing traffic accidents & the carnage caused) was the selfish attitude of some of the drivers stuck with me!

One silly cow was moaning she'd miss "Something about Mary" on the TV FFS!!!!

I pointed out to her that as far as I knew, 2 people had died yet that was her concern!

"@~*& Them" was her reply!

Unbelievable!!!!

I for one, feel deeply for the people & those close to them who won't forget this bank holiday for a very long time....

The attitude of some in our society truly sickens me.

Oh well, rant over!

It's a route I know well and for some reason there always seem to be more than a fair share of accidents there. Not too sure why! It is never nice when people are killed on our roads.

During my time in the Special Constabulary I went to 3 fatal RTC's

I have also been the first on scene to a guy who came of a motorbike where the first thing he hit was a tree, I actually saw him in the rear view mirror hurtling through the air.

I wouldn't have blamed you at all if you'd have slapped her. Stupid bint. Sure its annoying to sit in queue's and i could understand if it was because of stupid roadworks, but i'd have told her to show some ****ing respect.

Reminds me of when I was younger (In regards to peoples attitudes)

I was working at a Health Farm in the countryside and a 17 year old girl who had recently passed her test was turning right out of the access road, a biker going I'd imagine well over 100 hit her.

Cutting to the chase he was killed, she and some other colleagues saw it/were first on the scene. It wasn't pleasant and there was a lot of upset/traumatised people. Because it was our only access road the police started making new quests queue on the main road and some of them were there nearly all day. We also had guests wanting to leave. Quite a lot of them were irate and moaning.

Once the road re-opened and the first guest checked in she was complaining about having to sit all day in the car, and what were we going to do about it. I felt like slapping her in the face.

outrageous inconsideration for fellow humans

personally I'd have spat a huge grog in her hair in keeping with the movie she was so desperate not to miss
