M4A audio convertor

I have a solitary M4A audio file of a meeting that I need to convert to a more easily played file such as Mp3. Can anyone recommend a good programme thats not loaded to the hilt with malware?

its basically an MP4 file, have you tried changing the extension and seeing if it will play?

LameXP will do it iirc. It's a lossy transcoding format though so expect a small loss in quality.

Normally, the Video Converter can helps to convert video files to audio files. So you can try to use freemake.
