No idea on the specifics of the repossession.
I think it was to give the company some allowed time to buy it back or something like that.
I'm not sure on the inspection which is why I asked for advice. AA won't quote, RAC are yet to get back to me, BMW want it all day but I'm not sure if the owner will allow that, will ask tomorrow.
I'm trying to find someone else but not sure where to look for someone with the knowledge and experience.
No harm in getting it checked over though right?
Make sure the windscreen is done properly. The generic e60 screen won't work properly with the HUD (you'll end up seeing double...). Auto windscreens or someone cheap that a salvage place will likely use may well fit the wrong part.
Just under £250 iirc, worth it imo.
I have to say I wasn't impressed, but I got used to it.In other news, if I see one more review about how bad the electro power steering is in the F10, I'll be sticking with the E60!!
However, finding a fully-loaded F10 WITHOUT this stupid steering is impossible, so I guess if you want a decent F10, buy new or live with it
Note taken. The normal steering isn't that bad. Active steering is horrid.[TW]Fox;18744993 said:He's not talking about active steering, he's talking about the fact the F10 has electric power steering and the E60 has hydraulic PAS.
The owner's been using as his daily, but he can't afford to keep it any more.[TW]Fox;18744986 said:If its such an amazing car why has he had it so long?
Perhaps. Apparently the rear wheels turn ever so slightly.Active steering is potentially very cool. In tandem with the DSC system it can actually apply counter steering for you to avoid a skid!
