M5010 Dell Inspiron Upgrade Help

Hi, I'm looking to upgrade my processor and graphics card.

I am very new to upgrading hardware, so am looking for some guidance.

I have a Dell Inspiron M5010 with an AMD V160 processor 2.4GHz, 6GB of RAM and an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 series (which I presume is the graphics card?)

CAN I upgrade the processor and graphics card?

and what is the best processor and graphics card I can get?

I REALLY hope someone can help, because I'm at my wits end with this thing!

Hi Fred,

I'm afraid to say that processors and graphics cards in laptops are almost always non-replaceable or upgradable.

What's wrong with your Inspiron that's causing you frustration?

Hi,

OH NO!!

It is very slow and not really capable of running any two things at the same time. Which makes it pretty mush unusable, because the things I want to be able to use it for require more processor power than just RUNNING two normal applications.

Is there a CHANCE that it is one of the laptops that CAN be upgraded...?
