m6 toll - worth it?

I'm heading upto the lakes tonight, but staying just north of Crewe tonight cause i can't leave till after 7.

Just wondering if i'm going to be at the m6 toll for about 9ish (if i'm lucky) is it going to be worth splashing out on it?

i'm leaving from basingstoke after picking the gf up at about 7, planning to head up past newbury (a339) up the a34 past oxford and onto the m40, m42, m6 toll and then m6 to sandbach where were crashing out for the night, then the rest of the m6 the next morning into the lakes.

Will proberbly have a go on it as its there, don't know if the traffic will start dieing down at about 9ish or not, being easter weekend and all i'm expecting it to be slow going to start with

edit: oh and how much is it? can you use card of cash only?

Cards are fine, its £3.50

Remember that there are a lot of roadworks on the A34 going past oxford, 40 limit for a good few miles

joy, still gotta be better than heading up the m1 tbh!
