Mac Anti-Malware Free.

I have been tasked with finding ways to remove Malware from Apple Mac. I am a bit of novice when it comes to Mac but all of my research to find a suitable programs has thus far been in vain.

We have infected the machine with Mac Keeper, idoctor and other variants of Mac Keeper.

I have tried to use Malwarebytes. It finds Mac Keeper but not the variants. The programs I have tried are as follows:

Malwarebytes for Mac
Avast for Mac
Avira for Mac.

I can't use paid for ones but I guess I could possibly use a trial version but I would rather keep it to free programs only.

Can anyone recommend another good Malware removal tool for Mac which is free?

AdwareMedic (which i now believe in Malwarebytes) and Sophos is what i've used in the past and seemed to work to remove a few traces of malware.
I assume you've tried the typical method of removal ('trash' the app and clear associated files; worth Googling as there's no doubt tutorials for the malware you have)?

As mentioned though, the best method is to backup and reinstall OSX.

There is a test machine I have infected myself and scanned with AV, it missed a lot of problems but these can be manually removed. My goal is to find an easish way to running malware scans similar to how we handle PCs but it seems this is not really possible which is a bit of a bummer for a Mac users, as they feel they are impervious to infections.
