Mac book pro 2016

Lots of leaks at the moment. Including possibility of finger print power button and other features suggesting a pretty hefty overhaul.

I read fall was rumoured, so in 2-3 months...if you can wait!
 
Really? there have been very few leaks about it and most of them were a few months ago. There looks to be an OLED bar at the top and strong rumours of a touchID button (apparently the power button). It should have skylake processors and ddr4 ram but honestly its been very low key. There is far more out there about the new iPhone 7. No one knows when its coming out as most people seemed to expect it to be announced at WWDC in june.
 
Really need a new laptop. Decided I wanted to give the MBP a try (first Mac OS device I will ever have tried) last year and still waiting on the refresh....

Hoping it comes out next month or early oct or will have to find a Windows laptop and be gutted I waited over a year for nothing.

This is the latest that I read recently, but I think it is mostly just just a collection of rumours that has been flying around for a while.

For trying out mac, I'd recommend buying a sensibly specced 2nd hand machine with the idea of selling after couple of months. Transfering between macs is super easy, just attach USB drive, set it as time machine backup and once the backup is done, keep it up to date until you have new machine.

Open new machine, attach USB drive, first-boot screen asks if you want to restore from a backup -> click yes and depending on the speed of the external drive you are up and running exactly as you were before on the old machine.
