I'm tempted by a refurbed apple mac book pro 17"

Has anyone had some experience with the refurbed stuff?

how sturdy are the pro's overall, say, compared to a Dell XPS system, which is the other option I have in my mind currently.

I'm quite tempted by OSX fun, I would also likely be dual-booting too. I mainly use my laptop for watching films/TV, playing music and running the odd game. How good are the pro's for games?

Cheers :)

i've had 2 refurbs,1 is 1yr old other is 5 months old,no trouble at all*touches wood*
i can recommend them.

I would get them, as they are likely to be the last stock of the old model at the moment. So as long as the new speed bump doesnt bother you get em cheap!

They are as good as new. My friend has a refurb iMac, he's had it for about 18 months now and it's as sweet as a nut. Good savings too, but very popular.

They will be like brand new, just the come in a standard brown box instead of the proper Apple packaging. That's it really. You'd be silly not to buy a refurb.
