Mac book pro

my dads looking for a Mac book, where’d the best place to look? I don’t think OcUK sells so thought someone with the knowledge could help me find one!
I don’t know much about them, He wants 2018 or 2019 Mac book pro 15” with 512gb hd that’s his only specs as he doesn’t really know much about laptops but has always wanted a Mac book.
Even the hard drive was my spec as I spoke to him just as he was away to buy a low spec one.
He will only be using it for YouTube and searching the web.

why a mac book pro over a normal windows laptop?? if its for youtube and searching the web surley a normal windows laptop (which would be cheaper) would do??

Just because he likes them and likes how it will sync to his iPhone, iPad etc.
I did show him others but he said he’s always wanted one.

Not my first choice!

Does it have to be a pro? Just for web and YouTube that’s one expensive way to go!
What about the new air instead?

I mean the base model 15 with a 6 core and only 256 hdd is £2300 ish

Yeah could go for the air also I’ve been looking around and there are so many specs! What’s the difference between an air and a pro?

Is it me or my imagination that they were possibly thinking of an 16” MacBook? Could always wait and see what that will be like?

I’m not to sure I don’t follow apple releases that much. I bet that will be even dearer since it’ll be brand new. Probably just stick to the 2018/early 19 models

Ah don’t worry. The 16” looks even more expensive. But it should have a whole new display
