Oddly in my school we still have about 20-25 of these little Macintosh Classics (not the colour versions) kicking about. I'm literally tripping over them as we've nowhere to store them and we're not allowed the throw them out.

Thing is, are they worth anything? I joked about ebaying them and buying a new PC for the school from the funds but I got laughed heartily at by the teacher who's room has a dozen or so of them piled up in the corner!

Surely they'd make nice fishbowls? :p

To me and probably most people no, as you say auctioning them is a possibility but I doubt you will recover anything much on them. Could you donate them possibly in a Computers for Africa or similar campaign?

Failing that my initial thought was fishbowls as well, it has been done a few times.
 
Don't apple ofer to recycle old macs now. I haven't looked into this in detail at all but it was in the news at some point over the past week. In the very least it would get them all off your hands.
