MAC Code & Migrating etc ?

Hi All I would like some info regarding migrating to another isp ,i have just got my MAC Code from Nildram ,and will be either going with ADSL24 or UKFSN ,what i want to know is about cancelling my DD Billing with Nildram ,is it best to phone them up and say i,m migrating & to please cancel the DD or is it best to go into my bank and ask to cancel the DD ?? thanks .. :confused:

Phone Nildram and ask them to cancel it, then check with your bank.

When cancelling DD I always contact the bank myself to makesure is cancelled.

Yeah thanks for that ,thats what i thought too ,better to go to the bank ,as Nildram might forget ha !

No need to mention the DD to them, you just ask for the MAC code, they should cancel the DD themselves when you are migrated, but 9 times out of 10 they don't, so go to the bank and cancel it yourself to make sure (once you have been migrated), if you phone Nildram back up and ask them to cancel the DD, they may end up cancelling your BB, which you do not want, as then you can't use your MAC code, unless you mean phoning Nildram back after your migrated to get them to cancel the DD, but it is best you do it at the bank, as they could say, ok we'll cancel it, or it has been done, but you still get charged for another year as they aint done it.
