Hello.
I got my mac code a few weeks back in preparation to moving to sky.
I'm only just getting around to putting the order in though and there's only 1 week left on my MAC code.

Does it matter?
Will it be wrong if they take 2 weeks to get around to installing sky broadband and it has expired?

Ta.

I don't know what the rules are for when a MAC is considered 'used' (the date you use it to sign up, or the date it is used to do the transfer), so hopefully someone else can answer that.

However, to avoid any unexpected complications, I'd ask for a new MAC if I were you.

The MAC has to be used within 31 days of it being generated, but the provision date can be another 31 days in the future.

The bigger issue is ISP-specific: a number will assume that 31 days after giving you a MAC, they can kick off a cease order on your ADSL.
