Mac Documents > Windows Shared

It is possible to redirect a Mac's documents folder to a Windows shared (password protected)? I want it so that when the user clicks on documents (or saves to documents) they are actually accessing (and saving to) their Windows share.

It's a Windows 2008 server.

Not sure on that one. You could use some form of Synchronisation app though. Rsync is built in and free, and there are paid apps out there too...

I've played around. It isn't the easiest thing to do. Especially with Mac/AD integration.

If you are on a network yes it is possible. At work we use Worgroup manager to link their Mac "My Docs" to the Windows server 2008 Share (smb).

It was a MAJOR main in the bum with server 2008 and you need to have exactly the right share permissions set up or it wont work. In fact it is working for students but not for staff (seperate server) and we cannot figure out why.
