Mac Games

Ok I can fire up windows in bootcamp and run games that way, but any games people would recommend on the mac book pro?

I suspect you'll be best off just using XP for your gaming needs. Windows monopoly on PC gaming is the reason I've not moved to linux for my desktop yet.

OpenGL games might be a plan. Most iD games are OGL so you could look in that direction.

I found that most games run a lot worse in OSX due to the emulation of Direct X etc.?

However I like the games from introversion, DEFCON, Uplink, Darwinia and Spore as well soon (not from Introversion I hasten to add)

Pretty much every ID game is OpenGL, so will run on Mac OS's.

If you like retro games, check out Marathon 1/2/infinity, awesome games that bungie based Halo on.

There's Mac versions of a bajillion games, for eg:

C&C3
NWN2
AoE3
All ID games
Battlefield Series
CoD2/Cod4
X3
UT3

A quick google shows that most OpenGL games have been ported to Mac

diablo 2

mac mouse movement algorithms would make me kill myself if i was trying to play a game on one though
