Mac: Just got first IPod

Hey chaps,

Just got an 80gb classic given to me so have sync'd it up with iTunes etc. Just wondering if there is anything else I should be doing to get the most out of it? Couple of questions:

Can I use it as a portable HD?
What app do I use to convert movies to the appropriate format?

In Itunes on your Ipod part click enable disk usage and then it becomes a portable hard drive.

I use Videora iPod converter to convert films and videos etc on my pc

Yep, enable Disk Mode in iTunes under the iPod settings.

Guessing you have a Mac as the title says 'Mac:' so I recommend iSquint (Free) or Visual Hub ($23).

Edit: or Videora for Windows.
