Mac keyboard....anyone have one <12 months old?

Long shot, and delete it if you think it's out of order....

i have a mac pro keyboard as below:

The i key has broken on it. This was a gift and the person who bought it for me doesn't have the receipt, and apple won't swap it without one. What the guy at apple did say, is get the receipt from anybody who has bought one/a mac that comes with one in the last 12 months and they'll straight swap it for a brand new one......

So, is there anybody on here that has bought that keyboard or a machine with one in the last 12 months and is willing to help an ocuker out? Worth a try before shelling out 30 quid for a new one.

Could you not just buy a new one, use the receipt, and take it back? Or would they keep the receipt?

I'm trying to think when I last bought mine. I'l try and dig out the box, if it's under 12 months I'l send it over

yea that is an option, but i'd have to hope to not get the same people i was complaining at last time, and 2 trips etc.....it is what ill do if no one here has one.

nevrmind, did the whole buy a new one and return the old one trick sorted.
