Mac Mimi upgrade

Is the CPU in the current MacMini upgradable ? I was seeing myself get one, and plonk a vheap Q6600 in there for fun... Encoding Bonanza

You can upgrade it, but if I remember correctly you have to use the low voltage ones so it doesn't burn it's way through to the centre of the earth.

I'm tempted to put a Core2 in my CoreDuo ones.

You can upgrade, but no quad's (at least not for now ) as it uses mobile chips instead of desktop ones

As above, the Intel Mac minis use socket 479 processors, essentially laptop chips, which are upgradable if you can get the thing apart without breaking it.
