Picked up my new mini today, but the shop have stuffed up and given me one with 1.5 gig of RAM, rather than the 1 gig I asked for. As far as I knew, the RAM has to be matched to enable dual channel, does anyone know if this is the case? Or even how to check what mode it's running in.. without installing WoW and looking at the framerate :)

I think the two sticks to run dual channel mode have to be of the same density. But according to Wikipedia they don't have to, but it's recommended due to the integrated graphics of the Mac Mini.

I know the Mini works without dual channel, and I know why it runs like a dog without it, but I can't seem to see a definitive answer of whether the current setup will be dual or single channel and how the hell I check in OS X. I can find loads of utilties that will tell me if I bootcamped and booted into Windows, but I can't find a single one for OS X :(
