Mac Mini 1920 x 1200

Hi,

Does anyone know if the late 2012 mac mini can output a resolution of 1920 x 1200 by using a hdmi to dvi port adapter?

I'm looking to upgrade my current monitor and replace it with two 24 inch Dell 1920 x 1200, one will be connected via the display port and the other using the included hdmi to dvi adapter.

the 2011 model could do 1200 max so I would think that the 2012 model would as well considering it uses HD4000 graphics instead of 3000

*This model simultaneously supports 1920x1200 on an HDMI or a DVI display (using the included HDMI-to-DVI adapter) and2560x1600 on a Thunderbolt or Mini DisplayPort display or even a VGA display (with an optional Mini DisplayPort-to-VGA adapter, which is compatible with the Thunderbolt port).

Will the next mac mini have an AMD GPU chip? I'd love one with a decent chip and quad i5 for £499.

Nobody knows. Though since they ditched discrete GPU's with the current range and Haswell will improve graphics performance by 30-300% (depending on what you read) it seems unlikely.

Not likely at the moment for that price. Currently you get HD4000 and dual core i5 for that price. On the upside you can fit more RAM cheaply, with 8GB you get the maximum 768MB of vram.
